wedding venue closes
Iconic building to be given a facelift
The Old Marylebone Town Hall has closed
its doors while it undergoes a two-year
programme of renovation and restoration.
One of London’s most popular venues
for weddings and civil partnerships, the
listed building has twice hosted the nuptials
of Sir Paul McCartney, firstly with late wife
Linda and recently with Nancy Shevell (left).
The works are being carried out by
Westminster City Council in partnership with
the London Business School, which will now
see the building become part of its campus.
While the works continue, the Council is
offering Mayfair Library for civil marriages,
civil partnerships and citizenship ceremonies.
